Its been TOO long!

So it has been over two years since I've posted a blog. So much has changed since then. We are now a family of six. Our beautiful daughter was born on December 31, 2010. We named her Lily and she weighed in at 6lbs. 9 oz. We all love her SO much, especially the boys! Josh is now the youth pastor at our church, a job that has always been a dream of his. I'm still a stay at home mom and do my best to take care of the kids and the house! Life is good!

Yearbook yourself

So there is this new website called yearbookyourself.com that we found and decided to try out...as you can see my little boys have turned into girls! They had so much fun laughing at their faces in different poses. Sometimes it is the little things that make us laugh!

Aunt Brittany said that Isaac looks like all the teachers on the cartoons!

Aidan actually makes a pretty cute girl.

Labor Day

So the summer is winding down. We went to the pool for the last official day that it was open. Isaac has learned to swim this summer and Aidan did very well with floaties. Neither one of them are afraid of the water at all. I only hope that Ian is the same way. As you can see...he also enjoys the pool as long as the water isn't TOO cold! Aidan starts preschool next week in the 5 day program mornings only. So Ian and I will be alone every morning. I am looking forward to it! Enjoy the warm weather before it is gone and fall arrives.

Where has summer gone?

WOW! I can hardly believe that school starts in 5 days! While I'm not ready for summer to be over I am definitely ready for school to start. Isaac will be in first grade and Aidan will be going to preschool again 5 mornings a week. What I like about the boys being in school is the schedule. They do better and are generally in better moods! Which puts me in a better mood!!! Ian is 6 months old now and I love every minute with him! He is scooting around the floor on his belly, not quite on his knees yet! But will be there soon. He has both of his bottom teeth now. Now if we could just get him to sleep through the night...we would be set!

Ian- 4 months old

So my little Ian is 4 months old now. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He is so full of life! Smiles all the time. He can now roll from tummy to back and is close to going the other way. It amazes me just how much they accomplish in the first year of life! They go from barely moving to walking! God has truly blessed our family. We are so grateful!

Where has the time gone?

So I was wondering why it has been so long since I updated this thing? Well with a new baby and now being a mom to three children, this kind of fell by the wayside. I will try to keep this updated more. So much has been going on. As you can see, Ian is growing TOO fast! And the boys are as well. Aidan turned 5 on May 28th and Isaac has almost finished his first year of school. We are ready for the summer which will involve lots of swimming, picnics at the park, going to the zoo and just hanging out with family and friends. Oh, and lets not forget everyone's favorite smores on the firepit!

Here is a picture of the boys on Easter. They had alot of fun this year. Easter weekend started for them with a sleepover and Grammie and Grandpa's house then the Easter egg hunt at church on Saturday then a family birthday/Easter dinner for Claire's birthday on Sunday. They got SO much candy. I love Aidan's face in this picture...priceless!

School's begun again!

So, everyone that I've spoken to over the last week or so has been dying for school to start again. I never thought that I would feel that way but I must admit that after two weeks off for Christmas break...I was MORE than ready for the boys to start school and preschool again! The first week went well but after that the nonstop fighting began and then I started getting irritated...you know how it goes! So this morning we started our school schedule all over again and I must admit that after dropping the boys off, I came home to an empty house and didn't know what to do with myself. Now that will all change in 5 weeks when little Ian is here being a demanding newborn. LOL! But I can't wait!!!

So time is going by so fast I can hardly keep up! This is a picture of the boys from the Sunday morning of their Christmas program at church. They are growing up so fast. It is hard to believe that this year is almost over and in 7 weeks little Ian will be here! Where has the year gone? I am glad though that this pregnancy is going by quickly. It has been the hardest so far, but SO worth it! Can't wait to meet the neww little one. Love you all and wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Fall Days!

So the temperatures have finally dropped to a comfortable level, at least for me! The boys are enjoying playing outside in the leaves and all that comes with that. They are also excited about going trick-or treating on Wednesday. We will be getting together with my sister and Aunt's families for chili and fun! I'll post some pictures of the boys in costumes later. Hope you all have a great week!

The Boys on Halloween

Went and got our Fall pumpkins again this year. Roasted up the seeds and carved scary faces for the boys. They actually helped pull the stuff out of thiers this time. Fun times

The boys are growing up so fast. Isaac is doing great in school and Aidan loves his preschool class. We are all getting ready for baby Ian to come in February. The boys are more excited than we are I think.

Everything is going really well. God is so good!

Myrtle Beach

So it has been awhile. It is hard to believe that we are already into July! In June we spent a week at Myrtle Beach with Josh's family. It was a lot of fun. The boys LOVED the beach! So did I, of course! It was a great time with family and relaxing as well. The boys are enjoying swimming in grandpa's pool and are doing much better with it than last year. I am very proud of them! Isaac will be going to all day kindergarten in August and Aidan will be going to preschool in September 4 days a week. They are growing too fast! I'll be sure to update this before the summer is over!

Aidan's 4th birthday

On monday, the 28th we celebrated Aidan's 4th birthday with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme. We had all the family over and had a pinata for the kids. They all had so much fun. It is hard to believe that my little boy is already 4. My how time flies by! He will be going to preschool this fall and Isaac will be going to kindergarten. Remember to cherish all the little moments because they ARE what is important!

So it has been awhile...sorry. Just took this picture today. It was so nice but very humid out. We have been enjoying the nice weather as well as the brand new neighborhood park that is just down the street. It was a very old park that got all new equipment put in this spring. The boys love it! Isaac is almost done with preschool for the summer then will start kindergarten in the fall. He is so excited!~ Aidan will be going to preschool this fall. That will be a little hard on me...but it will be good for him! I'm still watching kids and have my days, but it has helped us out tremendously with our finances. The Lord is good! Love you all!

Warmer Days!

So after a very mild winter came February which was freezing cold, then came snow and more snow! Then this week it decided to tease us and get warm for a few days. The boys were so excited to be able to go outside with NO jackets! As you can see they were also very hot! Thank you Lord for 2 beautiful days! We needed it!

It is so hard to keep up with this. It seems that so many other things take a priority over this. My sister informed me the other day that I NEEDED to update my blog so here you go Amy! With the month of February came the cold weather, LOTS of snow and FREEZING temperatures! That's Indiana for you! Also with this month came Isaac's 5th birthday! Yeah, it's hard to believe he's 5 already and will be in kindergarten this fall. My how time flies. Aidan is doing well. We have been relatively healthy this winter so that is a blessing! I am also watching 3 other kids with my own so at times things can get a little stressful! Please keep us in your prayers! Love you all!

Well the holidays are over! We had a great Christmas with family and even received a visit from Santa! We then headed to Missouri for a family wedding. The picture of the little country boys was taken there! They were headed to Grandpa's farm to ride the 4-wheeler. They had so much fun.

The Boys Christmas Performance

Yesterday was the kids Christmas program at church. After last years performance we were a little skeptical as to how this year would be but I must say that we were pleasantly surprised! Isaac was right in the front and did a great job! He did all the motions and sang. He wasn't shy at all! What a difference from last year! As you can see Aidan was behind him and kept peeking around him. He was so cute! Can't believe that Christmas is one week away! Hope you all are ready!

Wow! Can it be that November has gone and we are now into December? Oh my gosh! Thanksgiving was a wonderful time. The boys slept through dinner but the adults had fun! We hung out with the Parrent side of our family. Then on Friday we were with Josh's family and went to cut down our christmas tree. The boys had fun doing that! We love you all and pray the you would be blessed this holiday season!

Playtime!

Today we went to a new indoor playground here in town. The boys had soooo much fun. This place has an open floor area for balls, riding cars, hula hoops(which Aidan was very good at), and other things. The play equipment was really cool; large enough for adults and kids. Yes, I went up a few times at Aidan's request. This is a great thing to have in Fort Wayne for the boys to burn up some energy!

Mr. Incredible?

So Isaac has chosen to be Mr. Incredible for Halloween. He originally wanted to be Mario from the Nintendo game but after much searching I decided that it was NOT gonna work. Trying to find Mario's attire turned out to be a very difficult job. He is happy though so that is all that matters!

Our First Family Pumpkins

October means harvest celebrations. We saw some Pumpkins for sale and Mommy thought it would be a great idea to carve them up. I was skeptical to say the least, but several hours later after Aidan's meltdown over putting his hand in the gooey orangeness of the "pumpkin guts" we put our glowing new friends on the porch to show off to the neighborhood!

The boys were so proud of them we decided to share them with everyone!

So tonight as I was putting Isaac to bed, doing our usual routine, he informed me that Josh and I needed a bigger bed. I asked him why and he said," Because there's not room for 4 people". I laughed and said it's OUR bed and not for you and Aidan. For those of you that don't know, Isaac ends up in our bed on a regular basis. So every night when we tuck him in we tell him to stay in his own bed! Anyways, just thought it was funny and wanted to share it with you!

Isaac's first day of preschool

Something new for us this fall was Isaac starting preschool. He was so excited! He didn't even cry, but mom did! As I was driving away Aidan said," Momma you crying?" I told him yes then he said, "He'll come back, my here." That made me laugh! Isaac is learning alot and can write his name. He says that his friend Hayden laughs at him all the time. Class clown already? He did get in trouble the first day however because the teacher told him to sit down and he wouldn't. I asked him why and he said," because I didn't want too". I tried real hard not to laugh out loud! He has done much better since then.

Aidan is very excited about halloween this year. He decided about a month ago that he had to be Buzz Lightyear. After searching many stores I finally found his costume and he just had to try it on! He is growing so fast. I am amazed everyday.

We had a visit from Aunt Piper, Uncle G, and little Addison last week we were so happy to see them! Addy is so sweet and she really loves her uncle Josh. I told her so! I whispered in her ear every time I saw her, "uncle Josh is your favorite uncle". I think it got through! (sorry Caleb).
